Dragonflies of the Middle East
At the meeting point of the Palearctic, Ethiopian and Asian biological regions, the Middle East has a biodiversity much greater than its area would suggest.
My old friend Richard Porter is helping Nature Iraq with its biodiversity surveys; although concentrating on birds he is encouraging his Iraqi colleagues to photograph dragonflies and build up a collection. I have been pleased to help in the identification of these and am showing them on my website.
All the observations are included as pdf files most cover Iraq but other countries feature as well.
